About Andre Ethier

Andre Everett Ethier is seen here serving lunch to Dodger fans at Panda Express earlier this year as part of the Dodgers Community Caravan.

He and his wife, Maggie, were married in February 2006 and they are expecting their first son later this year. Andre is one of seven kids and he graduated from St. Marys High School in Phoenix.

In just two-plus seasons with the Dodgers, Ethier has become a regular in the Los Angeles community, as he has taken part in multiple visits to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. While the team was in Washington D.C. in 2006 and 2007, the outfielder visited with patients at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Ethier has also hosted a Play Ball LA Clinic at Challenger Little League in El Segundo and personally donated money to the league after being inspired by the youngsters during his visit. He also has spoken to campers at the annual Dodger Youth Baseball Camp, and has taken part in the Dodger Community Caravan the last two seasons.

This year, he is starting his own personal community initiative that will help the Union Rescue Mission in downtown Los Angeles, near where Andre lives.
